The Kobe 5 Protro reimagines the original with upgraded cushioning, improved traction and court feel. The Nike Kobe 5 was one of the first basketball sneakers to feature a storytelling outsole. Heartbeat traction mode is used on the shoe. A ballistic mesh is used in the heel of the upper, while an extra layer of fuse is added to support high-wear areas of the shoe. The upper provides a sock-like fit that makes the wearer feel like the shoe was designed for them.
